Magic Reef Bungalows, combined with its tropical climate, warm seas and soft white sands and golden sunsets, is the perfect destination when planning your wedding or honeymoon.

All wedding couples staying at “Magic Reef” 3 nights or more, will receive one bottle of champagne upon arrival.

Whether you’re wanting a simple barefoot ceremony on the sand or a traditional Cook Islands wedding, our wedding planner provides a quality service and can personalise our three packages to cater to your individual needs, with full professional services. Marriage Licence

• Cook Islands law requires all people wishing to get married to be 21 years of age or to have written consent from their parents.
• You need to be in the Cook Islands for 3 working days prior to the wedding to obtain your Marriage Licence.
• Waiver - If you want to get married earlier than 3 days, you can apply for a waiver application.  Enquiries welcome.

Necessary Documents

• Passports
• Birth certificates
• Divorce papers or death certificate of spouse if applicable
• All documents must be in English or with English translator

Weddings in the Cook Islands are legally-binding and internationally recognized.  However, intending applicants should check with their own countries marriage licensing authorities for their local requirements concerning marriages. Most countries acknowledge weddings in the Cook Islands with the Apostille certificate. The Apostille certificate is not required for New Zealand and Australia.

“I Do” Wedding Package

Enchantment and magic in one day.  For those who “can’t wait” any longer, get married in one day.  Arrive at dawn and be married at sunset.  Your following Honeymoon will be pure enjoyment.  Simple but elegant!

• Wedding license and fees
• Transportation to obtain wedding license
• Wedding celebrant

“Heaven on Earth” Wedding Package

• Relaxing massage for bride and groom

“Magical Enchantment” Wedding Package

The ultimate ”Magic Reef” deluxe package to cater for your dream wedding. Imagine standing here together on a white sandy beach and the tropical sounds of paradise, an island serenade and the soft popping of champagne bubbles. An exciting magical ceremony filled with unique Rarotongan wedding highlights to ensure your special day is a perfect and unforgettable experience.

• Arch of tropical flowers, surrounded by flaming torches and an aisle covered with flower petals

• Polynesian dancers in traditional costumes
